The Masai Warriors of Kenya and Tanzania greet each other with the words “and how are the children?” It is an homage to the wellbeing of the children. The response is “all the children are well”, meaning that life is good. Our children are the barometer for understanding our present and future. The Black Mental Health Alliance believes that it is our duty to work towards a day in which the response is “All the Children are Well”. This programming fits into the greater mission and vision of the organization is to develop, promote and sponsor trusted culturally-relevant educational forums, training and referral services that support the health and well-being of Black people and other vulnerable communities. For our children, we provide programming that fits into 4 categories: advocacy, literacy, partnership, and education as it relates to mental health.
